Our annual Solemove Days event recently concluded, and what a success it was! This year's event proved to be the biggest yet, drawing 47 dedicated professionals from universities across Europe for two days focused on streamlining Erasmus programme administration.

Held in the vibrant city of Helsinki, Finland, from 18 to 19 February 2025, attendees participated in conference-style talks, workshops, and plenty of networking at the magnificent Home Hotel Jugend (formerly Glo Hotel Art). The Art Nouveau stone castle, built in 1903, provided a unique and inspiring backdrop for our exclusive client forum.

We were delighted to see such a diverse group, including representatives from Finland, Estonia, Germany, Sweden, and France, all keen to explore a more efficient future for international student mobility.

What happened at Solemove Days 2025?

The Solemove Days event was carefully curated to provide attendees with a comprehensive overview of Solemove, our mobility management software's capabilities and future direction. Attendees also had the chance to ask questions, provide feedback, and share user experiences.

Tuesday: Practical workshops and networking

Tuesday commenced with registration and opening remarks, followed by a recap of the new Solemove features introduced in 2024. After lunch, the afternoon sessions focused on practical aspects, covering the management of digital application forms, collecting students' supporting documents, and how to use Solemove's destination search tool. The first day concluded with a summary and a networking dinner.

Wednesday: Optimising workflows and exploring what's next

Wednesday began with fresh coffee and a key session on the Learning Agreement (LA) – a document outlining the courses a student will take at the host university during their Erasmus exchange, agreed upon before they go – and the Online Learning Agreement (OLA) processes – the digital version of the Learning Agreement, making the process of creating and approving it easier online.

Following lunch, the afternoon included sessions on user management and an exciting look at the Solemove roadmap. The event wrapped up with a closing ceremony and a final coffee before attendees departed.
